Social Care Worker
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to provide high-quality homecare services in a family home setting.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting with personal care, toileting, meal preparation, supervising medication, light housework, and basic shopping needs.
* Offering emotional and social support.
* Monitoring and documenting client progress.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
* Creating a safe and nurturing care environment for clients.
* Providing assistance, guidance, and community resource mobilisation to carers.
* Reporting and recording any incidents.
* Adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
* Working around the 24-hour needs of the house.
Requirements:
* Level 7/8 qualification in Social Care/Social Studies or related discipline.
* Eligibility for registration with CORU is an advantage.
* A valid full clean driving licence is essential.
* Knowledge of New Directions Services and Supports for adults with disabilities is advantageous.
* The ability to work on own initiative is required.
* Fluent level of English both written and oral is essential.
* Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances, shift patterns, and expectations are must-haves.
* Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland is mandatory.
