OBW Technologies Ltd, the leading national provider of portable and fixed gas detection sensors and solutions in Ireland is currently looking to hire a Service and Commissioning Engineer to join their fast-paced, dynamic and growing team in the Leinster region.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the successful candidate will work as part of an established team of Engineers.
They will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of fixed and portable gas detection systems across a variety of industries such as life sciences, high tech & utility provision, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with safety regulations.
The successful applicant will be an experienced and extremely well-organised Field Service Engineer, with experience gained in an Industrial environment.
Knowledge of Honeywell Gas detection or similar Instrumentation will be highly advantageous, but experience of field service work is essential.
They will be a results driven candidate, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks, and have excellent attention to detail and Customer Focus.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, service, and maintain gas detection systems at client sites.
Diagnose and repair faults in gas detection equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of gas detection devices to comply with industry standards.
Provide technical support and training to clients regarding equipment usage and best practices.
Ensure all work adheres to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Prepare and maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
Liaise with customers to provide excellent service and support.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and technical support, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Build a strong working relationship with the other service engineers to ensure will always deliver within our Service Level Agreement
Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
Experience & Qualifications needed
Relevant technical qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
Must have field service work experience.
Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services and experience with Instrumentation in an Industrial environment is preferable.
A good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multi functional project team
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Written and spoken English fluency.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to support a growing organisation.
Ability to service client sites in the Greater Dublin region and across the Leinster region.
A full driving licence is a necessity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €45,******-€65,****** per year
