My client uses a nutritional expertise and knowledge to provide superior innovative nutritional products and services to the agricultural feed industry. Our offering at our Naas facility includes pellets, concentrates, premixes and minerals, specialties and supplements. The Feed Formulator will support the development and review of formulations for current and future products of our key customers. In this role, you will support the evolution and improvement of our current and future product portfolio, balancing efficiency, cost of formulation and raw material use. The role is a permanent, full-time position. Key Accountabilities Update formulation software with available raw material data, retrieving information from relevant sources, and reporting on the progress of formulations Formulate and ensure the products are manufactured in accordance with applicable requirements and specifications. Compliance with labelling requirements and legal parameters set by EU. Advise internal and external contacts on formulation related questions Look for opportunities for cost savings related to formulation and continuous improvement opportunities. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff Any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Hons Science Degree is a minimum requirement, preferably in the fields of Animal Nutrition or Agricultural Science. Computer literacy (Excel) and the ability to learn new software (formulation software) Animal nutrition knowledge. Able to work independently and in groups. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a relevant subject. Prior Formulation experience is advantageous. Working knowledge of EU legislation governing feed materials and feed additives in animal nutrition. Strong analytical skills, prior experience in feed production, experience in complex software systems, biological knowledge of raw material characteristics Skills: farming agricultural agriculture agricultural science feed formulations
