Project Engineer Position
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support our engineering requirements.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and liaising with key project stakeholders, including the client design team, main contractor, suppliers, and subcontractors.
They will also be required to familiarise themselves with design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the project works.
Additionally, they will contribute to the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel, ensuring spec compliance and prioritising tasks according to schedule.
The engineer will work closely with vendors to provide technical support and value engineering solutions, manage material procurement using Engineering Materials Report (EMR) to identify lead-in periods and field need rates.
Furthermore, they will ensure that works are installed in accordance with project specifications and the project QA plan.
Key responsibilities include site audits to verify proper processes and procedures, preparing project completion criteria and close-out documents, and coordinating with clients and writing reports to present to directors and other relevant parties.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have 4+ years' experience working with a recognised mechanical contractor in process mechanical/pipework.
They should be proficient in the use of Navisworks and database systems related to engineering functions, as well as experience with Project/Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
Excellent organisational and project planning skills, ability to work as part of a team, and strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential.
