Our client, a leading organisation in the Irish energy sector, is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their established finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance or economics professional to play a key role in supporting regulatory, commercial, and strategic decision-making across a complex and evolving energy network.
Key Responsibilities Prepare annual regulated revenue and tariff submissions for approval by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU).
Support the tariff reporting process and assist in price control reviews and budgeting cycles.
Build and maintain detailed financial models to analyse tariff and revenue outcomes.
Evaluate commercial initiatives, assessing their financial and regulatory impact.
Contribute to EU and national consultations and analyse implications of market and policy developments.
Develop and review tariff structures for emerging areas such as biomethane, hydrogen, and CNG.
Prepare and present commercial and regulatory papers, reports, and proposals.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
35 years experience, ideally within the energy or utilities sector, with exposure to a regulated environment.
Strong financial and numerical modelling skills in Excel, including advanced formulae and macros.
Excellent analytical ability with a structured approach to problem-solving.
Strong communicator with the ability to explain complex financial insights clearly.
