Job Description: Growing property management company is looking for a maintenance coordinator and receptionist. This position reports directly to the Property Manager. It is an in-office role at our front desk, involving day-to-day property management functions, general office management, and mainline phone answering. The role focuses on resident retention through relationship building and customer service, overseeing maintenance requests, and ensuring prompt communication between residents, the office, and maintenance team.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who understands the dynamics of working in a small company and has a desire to help us grow. We manage a mix of single-family homes and small multifamily properties throughout St. Louis City and County.
Essential Job Functions & Duties:
* Assist the property manager with operations, tenant communications, billing, leasing, and maintenance
* Answer phones and manage tenant communications
* Process rental applications, support the leasing department, and coordinate move-ins and move-outs
* Coordinate maintenance and make-ready needs with maintenance staff and outside vendors, and assist with rehabs and tenant readiness
* Ensure proper rent collection from tenants
* Document operational processes for training new team members
* Handle Housing Authority paperwork for Section 8 applicants
* Oversee lease renewal processes
* Assist with daily administrative and operational tasks
* Open mail and perform general office management tasks
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
* Previous leasing and sales experience preferred
* Experience in managing single-family and multifamily properties preferred
* Experience with property management software such as AppFolio preferred
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* May be required to participate in on-call duties as needed
* Strong customer service and organizational skills
* Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
* Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break
Salary: $44,000 - $50,000 depending on experience
