We’re seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in Ignition SCADA to join a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to world‑class manufacturing systems that enable the production of life‑changing medicines. You’ll play a key part in deploying, configuring, and optimizing Ignition SCADA systems across multiple international sites—enhancing efficiency, compliance, and data connectivity within a cutting‑edge automation environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support Ignition SCADA deployments across multiple global manufacturing sites.
Develop, maintain, and optimize global use case templates to ensure consistent SCADA deployment standards.
Roll out standardized global templates, driving best practices and uniformity across all facilities.
Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to build interfaces between Ignition and enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, and LIMS.
Develop and update engineering standards, procedures, and documentation for automation and SCADA implementations.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Ignition systems to ensure maximum uptime and system performance.
Provide training and technical support to local engineering and operations personnel on Ignition best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in automation roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
Demonstrated hands‑on experience with Ignition SCADA, including deployment, configuration, and system optimization.
Solid understanding of GMP, FDA, and related regulatory standards.
Proven ability to deliver SCADA‑to‑enterprise integrations (ERP/MES/SQL systems).
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across global, cross‑functional teams.
Competent in engineering documentation, with the ability to author and maintain automation procedures and technical guides.
Additional Information
Initial 6-month contract with high potential for permanent placement based on performance.
May involve occasional travel to international manufacturing sites for system rollouts and support.
