TheClient Engineering Functionis responsible for undertaking projectDesign Reviews/Site Inspectionson both contestable and non-Contestable Transmission Projects to ensure that projects are developed in accordance with theirfunctional specification standards.Delivery of these projectsis required to meet key departmental and company objectives.The TeamTheEngineering & Asset Managementis responsible for undertaking four key roles;Asset Management, Technical Authority, Onshore EngineeringandOffshore Engineering. The team is responsible for setting theTechnical Engineering Policiesand standards to be used forTransmission Infrastructure, Monitoring ComplianceduringDesignandConstructionand for ensuringAsset Integrityand ensuring uninterruptedPower Systemfunctionality.TheEngineering and Asset ManagementandOffshore Deliveryare the areas within which facilitates that role through the development oftechnical standardsand functional specifications for allPlantto be connected to theTransmission Systemand the development of new and innovative technologies and methodologies.In addition, these areas are responsible for ensuring that requirements are incorporated inProject DesignandConstructionwhether the works are carried out byIrishDistribution Network Operatoror by third parties.About you / Successful candidates will have:Electrical Engineering qualificationto degree level or equivalent qualification, typically with4+ yearsrelevantpost-qualificationexperience.Good technical knowledge inHigh Voltage Transmission Designwith strong knowledge ofTransmission TechnologyincludingNewandEmerging Technologies.Transmission Substation Designexpertise with experience assessingSubstation Designsfor conformity to standards at110/220/400 kV.Excellent communication skillswith an emphasis onHigh Quality Report Writingand ability.Experience preparing and issuingTransmission Design Drawings, such as single lineDiagrams, Substation Layout Drawings, Protection Schematicsand interlocking drawings, etcExperience completingonsite inspectionsand monitoring ofconstruction progressfor compliance.Full drivers licence.
