We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel and Cattery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients. This role involves ensuring the well being of animals in our care while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
 * Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and cats.
 * Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area, including cleaning kennels, bedding, and play areas.
 * Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns.
 * Assist with customer service duties, including greeting clients and providing information about services offered.
 * Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning equipment as necessary.
 * Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both animals and staff.
 * Create engaging social media content (photos, videos, updates) to showcase daily life at Brockhill and promote services
 * Assist with admin tasks such as answering calls/emails, processing bookings, and keeping client records up to date
Qualifications
 * Minimum Level 6 Animal Care qualification
 * Grooming qualification highly beneficial
 * Excellent communication and teamwork skills – being a team player is essential
 * Ability to work flexibly (hours vary depending on occupancy and bookings)
 * Confidence with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and basic content creation
 * Comfortable using a computer for admin tasks (basic email and record-keeping)
 * Confidence working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
 * Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a passion for animal welfare
