Procurement Officer Job
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the full cycle of procurement, including market consultation, tender management, and contract administration. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of public procurement processes and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the delivery of the procurement cycle, ensuring that the business arrives at the purchase to pay stage.
* Apply a deep understanding of public procurement processes and regulations, and have the ability to apply processes to specific procurement requirements.
* Organize and supervise the preparation and submission of bids and RFQs using the new etenders platform.
* Be responsible for the preparation of the technical package and other related documents needed for submitting tenders, proposals, and RFQs.
* Assist with cross-functional teams to pursue compliance for products or services.
* Ensure all statutory regulations are complied with in respect of the procurement function.
* Participate in logistics and inventory management activities, specifically including inventory management, purchase order generation, invoice and payment management, supplier management, stock management at point-of-use (POU).
Eligibility Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a procurement environment which has included tender management processes, use of etenders platform, and contract management.
* Participated in tender competition execution process from beginning to end.
* Experience in dealing with large volumes of complex data in a large organization.
* Experience of managing competing priorities and deadlines, where the ability to analyze and interpret information to make decisions quickly and accurately is required.
* Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability, for the proper discharge of the procurement department.
