Medical Sales Representative – Capital Equipment (West of Ireland)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Sales Representative to drive sales of capital medical equipment into public and private hospitals across the West of Ireland. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, develop strong clinical and procurement relationships, and contribute to long-term account growth.
This role suits a commercially minded sales professional who is comfortable working in complex hospital environments and managing longer sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a defined territory across the West of Ireland
* Promote and sell capital medical equipment to hospitals and healthcare providers
* Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including:
* Clinicians
* Clinical engineers
* Procurement and finance teams
* Hospital management
* Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to tender submission, negotiation, and contract close
* Identify new business opportunities and support business development initiatives
* Deliver product demonstrations and support evaluations and trials
* Work closely with internal teams (service, applications, management) to ensure customer satisfaction
* Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and territory plans
* Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and hospital funding pathways
* Represent the company professionally at exhibitions, meetings, and industry events
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience in medical sales, ideally within capital equipment
* Experience selling into Irish hospitals (HSE and/or private)
* Strong understanding of hospital purchasing processes and tenders
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
* Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
* Full clean driving licence
* Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
Desirable
* Clinical or technical background
* Experience in capital equipment categories (e.g. imaging, theatre, ICU, diagnostics, lab, or similar)
* Familiarity with HSE procurement frameworks
