Quantity Surveyor Job Description
The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team responsible for the financial and contractual aspects of our projects, with a strong focus on road maintenance. They will manage all financial and contractual elements to ensure delivery on budget, on time, and to specified standards.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all financial and contractual aspects of our projects, with a strong focus on road maintenance particularly involving bituminous and tar surfacing works.
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
* Oversee procurement activities in line with framework and compliance requirements.
* Maintain up-to-date records of suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring they are vetted, approved, and compliant.
* Lead tendering and quoting processes from pre-qualification through to submission, ensuring profitability.
* Monitor and control project costs, preparing regular cost and progress reports for senior management.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying/Construction with relevant experience would be highly beneficial.
* Proven experience in a commercial, estimating, or quantity surveying role within the road maintenance or civil engineering sector.
* Strong understanding of bituminous / tar surfacing works, materials, and methods would be highly advantageous.
