Morgan McKinley are delighted to be working with a well know institution to recruit a Procurement Specialist in Dublin. Joining a well-established team in the public sector, this Procurement Specialist will assist with procurement planning, improving supplier performance while ensuring compliance with procurement policy and aiding delivery of a value for money supply base for the organisation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage all phases of strategic sourcing as required including internal and external stakeholder engagement, RFP process, benchmarking, negotiations, contract / pricing review and implementation Manage the procurement of all goods and services in line with company policy Engage with key suppliers to negotiate main project contracts on favourable commercial terms. Ensure the successful delivery of contracted activities, identifying continuous improvement opportunities through engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders and maximising value for money from engagements Develop and deliver key reporting metrics for the business Manage and complete all work-related administration including contract database updates, work in progress updates and independent contract drafting. Key requirements: 3 years+ procurement experience in the public sector is required Degree in business/supply chain/procurement or a relevant discipline Qualification in Public Procurement beneficial Experience using SAP and E-tenders required Skills: procurement public sector negotiation
