Kildare, W91 Y635Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:The Culinary & Innovation Technologist will be involved in the development of new product concepts working from customer briefs, blue skies concepts, existing product redevelopments and factory optimisationDrive the launch of new product concepts through the approved Stage Gate Process ensuring each stage is documented and signed off according to procedureOrganise product and sample submissions to customers and participate in presentations externally and internally to stakeholders and customersArrange trials and pre-production trials on new products through the pilot plant and the manufacturing unitCompletion and recording of customer trackers, product costings, sensory analysis trials, competitor benchmarking and shelf-life analysis trials from an organoleptic and microbiological point of viewComplete and sign off finished product specifications in conjunction with QA for all new lines. Design QAS documents and approve all defect standards with the teamsComplete 1st production/launch, sign off with the relevant teams and with the customerComplete post-launch reviews and issue reports to the business teamsWork with production and QA in relation to customer codes of practise, process improvements/ yields / improving process efficiencies and cost reduction projectsBe part of the drive for innovation within The Culinary Food Group by participating in brainstorming, Synectic's sessions, trend analysis forums and market safarisAssist in all areas of the product development process as necessaryGeneral administration and office dutiesSkills / Qualifications / Experience3rd level Degree in Food Science / Culinary Science or related discipline3+ years NPD experienceHigh energy, team player with strong record of meeting aggressive goals and objectivesStrong people & project management skillsStrong attention to detail skills requiredGood communication skills, self-starter, work under own initiative, good listener, assertive and highly motivatedNote: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
