We are seeking a full-time Team Leader for our cheese counter at Dunnes stores Jetland in Limerick.
This is an opportunity to gain skills and develop your existing knowledge of Irish and European food production and culture.
This will be achieved through our own in-house training and practical experience.
The successful candidate will understand the importance of working with and promoting artisan food producers.JOB TITLE: Team Leader
1. Purpose and Scope of Position The Team Leader takes ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Counter.
They are responsible for guiding individuals and leading the team to achieve objectives.
The Team Leader is responsible for maximising sales, managing stock levels, merchandising and directing the team to ensure the delivery of the highest possible standards of customer service.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and directing the team (cheesemongers); allocating tasks, managing breaks, monitoring standards of work, training new team members, rostering using dedicated softwareHelp foster a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional moraleFollow and comply with established procedures for HACCP, cleaning routines, food safety and workplace safety; Ensuring all areas are kept extremely clean and tidyMaintain appropriate levels of stock, placing orders, processing deliveries, dealing with queries from Sales and WarehouseSupervising promotions, tastings, supplier visitsServing customers: dealing with customer queries, complaints, returns, special requests.Model and deliver exceptional standards of customer serviceQuality control: assisting in dealing with quality issues, handling Supplier Feedback process, communicating with Sales and Warehouse regarding quality and food safety issuesCollaborating with the Retail Management team and other Team Leaders on day-to-day matters and strategic projectsDeveloping and maintaining a good working relationship with host store management teamAd hoc duties as required, necessary to fulfil the role and needs of the business effectively 3. Qualifications/Experience/SkillsAt least 1 years' experience in a similar role preferableMinimum 2 years' experience in a food retail environmentExcellent knowledge of Irish and European farmhouse cheesePrevious experience supervising a team desirableHACCP trainedExcellent customer service and communication skillsOrganised and calm under pressureAvailable 40 hours per week including weekends
