.Net Developer
Initially 6 months daily rate contract
Dublin City Center (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
Profile
5 years+ software development experience.
Experience working across the full .Net stack.
The Role
This developer position will have responsibility to design, develop, test and implement components of software for business products based on project plans to the appropriate quality. Key responsibilities of the role will include:
* Working within an Agile Scrum delivery methodology as part of a wider team.
* Ownership of the development, testing and implementation of software components.
* Understand and help challenge and define the functional and non-functional requirements in order to prepare technical specifications to support development for yourself and others.
* Work directly with the business to analyse, refine requirements and diagnose issues.
* Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of the overall solution inclusive of identification and remediation of system bugs.
* Follow all elements of the SDLC while adhering to standards and enhancing/suggesting improvements.
* Assist the team to ensure developments are delivered to schedule and within budget.
Essential Skills
* Experience in .Net (Versions 4.0 up).
* Experience in designing and building Microservices.
* Experience working with SQL Server.
* Experience in Front End development (React, Bootstrap, Javascript, HTML5).
Additional Skills (Not Essential but Would Be an Advantage)
* Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
* Working knowledge of calling and consuming REST services.
* Agile methodologies and tools.
* Azure DevOps.
* Subversion.
* Code Quality tools.
* Mobile App deployment.
* Cloud-based testing.
* PowerShell.
General Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years relevant IT application development experience.
* Overall seniority and years of experience empowering the candidate to move beyond development and be a decision-maker, designing solutions for business requirements.
* Experience working within Agile values (e.g., taking ownership of tasks, self-organised, self-driven, collaborate with team members, etc.).
* Competent knowledge of Scrum ceremonies.
* Competent skills and knowledge in database structures and concepts.
* Ability to analyse, prepare, execute and test coding changes.
* Multi-skilled and capable of working in many different parts of the SDLC at the same time.
