Job Responsibilities

Welocalize is seeking Metadata Specialists with backgrounds in various locales and languages. You will work onsite at a leading consumer technology company, contributing to products released in target markets worldwide. Your role involves evaluating the quality of written and spoken content related to your linguistic and geographic expertise, and may include content review and creation for Music and TV applications. You will collaborate with international teams to monitor and enhance the quality of client products and partner data integrations.

The following are some of the responsibilities of the Bilingual Metadata Specialist:

1. QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.

2. Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and glossaries.

3. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and with high quality.

4. Maintain motivation and productivity on repetitive tasks.

5. Prioritize tasks and issues effectively.

6. Possess native-level language skills and cultural awareness.

7. Deliver results in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.

8. Be highly organized with attention to detail and quality.

9. Navigate ambiguity and make informed judgments.

10. Communicate effectively in verbal and written forms.

11. Have a passion for and knowledge of the film and TV industry.

12. Note: The role may involve exposure to content that could be considered offensive, including sexual, health-related, racial, or violent material.

Additional Job Details

Requirements

Experience

- Native level fluency in one of the following languages: German, French, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish (Mexico), Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, or Russian.

- Experience with advanced spreadsheet tools.

- At least one year of experience as a QA, Data Analyst, or similar role.

- Basic knowledge of iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV.

- Up-to-date awareness of current technical language usage in the target language.

Work Environment Requirements

- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

- Proficiency in using a computer mouse and keyboard for extended periods.

- Exposure to potentially offensive content, including sexual, health-related, racial, or violent material.

- Ability to work in front of a computer monitor for extended durations.
