You are sought after for a Project Design role where you will lead projects in operational data centers, remediate issues, upgrade existing infrastructure, or add new services.
As the go-to engineering resource, you will provide lifecycle support from design through implementation.
Using your mechanical expertise, you will own the design for data center upgrades, perform design and equipment submittal review, and interface with multiple teams to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
You will lead projects to fit out our data centers to meet evolving customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper-scale.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects locally and globally, with up to 25% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region.
* Interface with internal and external data center design engineering teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety teams, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered.
* Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
* Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given discipline during new remediation projects.
* Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover.
* Possess strong engineering judgement and provide design recommendations despite uncertainty.
* Be detail- and data-oriented with familiarity with design/construction processes.
* Have experience managing engineering projects and engineering consultants.
* Build trust and relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Commissioning, Construction, and Design).
* Manage design and as-built drawings and documents; prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders.
* Be inclined to get into the field to see things up close.
