The Role
We are seeking a Finance Project Officer to support financial planning, performance tracking, and strategic decision‑making across grooming, daycare, retail, and business projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across grooming, daycare, retail, and project activities.
Conduct financial analysis on business initiatives (e.g., service expansion, pricing, capacity planning) to assess commercial viability.
Monitor and analyse revenue streams, pricing, cost structures, and profit margins, identifying trends and optimisation opportunities.
Develop and manage budgets, track expenditure, and analyse variances vs forecasts, recommending corrective actions.
Prepare financial reports, management accounts, and project performance updates to support decision‑making.
Coordinate financial aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with operational and financial objectives.
Evaluate operational and project costs (staffing, consumables, inventory) and recommend efficiency improvements.
Support growth initiatives, including service expansion and new locations, through financial modelling and tracking.
Analyse customer demand, booking trends, and service utilisation to support revenue optimisation and capacity planning.
Support inventory and cost tracking for retail products and grooming supplies.
Communicate effectively with management and operational teams to align on financial goals and expectations.
Assist in improving financial processes, controls, and reporting systems to support scalable growth.
Requirements
Experience in finance, accounting, or commercial analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Commercial mindset with interest in operations and business growth.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
