Our customers and partners continue to regard us as trustworthy, knowledgeable, and committed to excellence.Overview Of The RoleThe Financial Controller will have overall responsibility for the financial environment within the Group, providing a comprehensive range of services to all departments.Role ProfileReporting directly to the Dealer Principal/General Manager, the Financial Controller will be a key member of the management team, working alongside all other senior managers and departments in setting strategic direction of the Group.The Financial Controller will have direct responsibility for the Groups financial and management accounting function, overseeing and leading monthly and annual reporting, driving budget and supporting long-term financial strategy.Additionally, this role will encompass responsibility for specific commercial development initiatives and project activities across the group, playing a pivotal role in the organisation of financial funding to support the groups continued expansion.Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not restricted to the following:Managing the finance team, ensuring co-ordination and delivery of internal and external reporting requirementsProvision of leadership to the accounting team on technical accounting mattersPreparation, analysis and oversight of the Groups Financial StatementsPreparation and presentation of the Groups monthly Management AccountsLead the annual audit process in conjunction with the assigned statutory auditor, ensuring audit requirements are met in a timely mannerResponsibility for the Groups taxation affairs, liaising closely with the Group tax advisorsEnsuring financial controls are effective and being appropriately applied throughout the GroupProvision of leadership and coaching to the accounting teamLeading the assessment of business development opportunities that arise from time to timeSupporting business development activities including contract negotiationManaging and supporting teams to ensure staff receive continuing training and developmentLiaising with the various Brands to ensure that all incentives are maximised and paid out in a timely mannerReporting to the respective Brands on a monthly basisOversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (PAYE, PRSI, VAT and Corporate Tax)Delivery of management reports, supporting cost control and business decision-makingCollaborate with business leaders to provide data-driven insights and identify performance improvement opportunitiesReview VAT returns and support corporate tax preparationChampion continuous improvement and help drive innovation in systems and processesSupporting with payroll management and processingQualifications And ExperienceApplicants must possess a primary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline, and hold a professional accounting qualification.A minimum of ten years' post-qualification experience, in a comparable role, within an organisation of similar scale and complexity, is desirable.RequirementsExcellent technical accounting skillsStrong commercial acumen with a demonstrable track record in commercial projectsDemonstrable experience working in a complex environment with a record of successBoard level experience with strong presentation skillsProject management and delivery experienceDemonstrated ability to lead and manage teams within a fast paced, dynamic and changing environmentAbility to produce insightful reports and disseminate key information to support decision makingProven track record of implementing change through technology to achieve continuous service improvementAbility to achieve tight deadlinesGood working knowledge of Irish tax legislationAttributesStrong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsInitiative and ability to work independentlyPro-active self-starterExcellent influencing, persuasion and negotiating skillsAbility to build relationships with colleagues across all departmentsStrong leadership skillsProblem solving abilityRole DetailThis is a permanent and full time, onsite roleMonday to FridayOffice basedMay require extended hours during month-end or audit periods
