Overview

As part of a recently awarded ticketing project, Indra has a requirement for a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in the planning, design and implementation of the financial management services and the establishment of robust financial governance and control and to provide strategic financial insights to senior management and project stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Indra Ireland Senior Finance Manager, the individual will also work closely with the Implementation Services Manager (Project Manager).

Key Responsibilities:

This role of the Senior Financial Accountant is crucial for ensuring revenue assurance, particularly with the implementation of contactless payments, enabling precise tracking and reconciliation of transactions. In addition, the role requires the implementation of enhanced monitoring capabilities and will also support proactive management of service providers and their performance, ensuring compliance and optimised revenue collection.

This role has significant client facing responsibilities and therefore we require an individual who is comfortable in this type of role and who is flexible to work at client offices in Dublin, as required.

The Senior Financial Accountant shall have responsibility & accountability for (including but not limited to) the below:

* Support the production and delivery of quality finance documentation including financial design and proposals for presentation to the Indra Senior Finance Manager, Indra project team and client stakeholders.
* Assist with ensuring finance dependencies and deliverables across project workstreams are tracked and managed through identification, and monitoring of all financial risks and dependencies, with timely communication to the Senior Finance Manager.
* Clearly communicate with multiple client project stakeholders and the Indra Senior Finance Manager to ensure that all aspects of financial planning, design and implementation are incorporated.
* Supporting the compliance of payment channels in line with Payment Card Industry data security standards.
* Play a key role in ensuring the controls and outputs for the smooth operation of the new ticketing scheme are designed and have appropriate approval within the client organisation, working closely with the Indra Senior Finance Manager.
* Coordinate with all applicable internal and external teams to define, plan and deliver all finance aspects of the ticketing solutions control and reporting.
* Responsible for overseeing all revenue streams including revenue collection and clearing and recovery of debt collection.
* Risk assessment, continual investment in internal control systems, and ensuring policies and procedures are robust and updated on a regular basis.
* Assist with the Implementation of payment fraud and payment risk management services.
* Establishment of Fixed Asset Register including supporting client operational processes, procedures and services, in accordance with client Fixed Assets policies.
* Project cost management and budgeting planning including managing baseline versus actual costs.
* Responsibility for financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders including Project Board reporting.
* Develop and report high-quality financial management reports, financial analysis and key performance indicators to Indra management including the Senior Finance Manager, Project Account Manager and Implementation Services Manager (Project Manager).
* Act as support to the Senior Finance Manager and act as a trusted point of contact for the client, contractors and sub-contractors including acquiring and payment gateway providers, with responsibility for cash collection, and designing and implementing financial incident management reporting.

Person Specification

We require an individual who has extensive finance experience working in complex, multi priority and matrixed organisations, with expertise in dealing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role requires the individual to have demonstratable experience across change control, incident management, exception management, and high-volume transactions management.

Essential requirements

* A professional accountancy qualification and be admitted to membership of a recognised professional body of accountants.
* 5+ years' experience working in a finance role, with 1 years' management experience (Senior Financial Accountant within MNC, Senior Finance Analyst working within banking and payments industry, Senior Finance Business partner level or equivalent).
* Experience in assisting the delivery of multiple interdependent work streams, and projects.
* Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in building strong internal control systems, with a proven track record of effective financial management in a relevant complex environment.
* Demonstrated commercial acumen, and knowledge of project financial management.
* Knowledge of revenue collecting activities, including proficiency in data analytics and financial modelling; and
* Flexible and adaptable with experience working within a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

Desirable attributes

* An understanding of public sector accounting, public transport ticketing technology or the ability to quickly acquire such understanding.
* Have demonstrable experience working in a high-volume transaction environment.
* Knowledge of corporate governance and the requirements of the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies.
* Understanding and knowledge of payment processing, including but not limited to API tools, payment channels, payment fraud and risk management; and
* Have experience in contract management.
