Main purpose of the role

Main duties

* Deal with all customer queries efficiently, professionally and consistent with store policy.
* Merchandise shelves, ensuring that all areas of the store are presented to the highest standard.
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and ensure an outstanding shopping experience in line with the company’s brand values.
* Operate the checkout, handle payments, vouchers, loyalty schemes, and assist with queries.
* Maintain store presentation and merchandising standards, including shelves, promotional displays, refrigeration units, and tills, ensuring cleanliness and order.
* Assist with stock replenishment, rotation (FIFO), and inventory control; monitor stock levels and report variances or shrinkage.
* Engage with new initiatives (e.g., loyalty programmes, planograms, seasonal campaigns) and support continuous improvement in store operations.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily store targets, support sales growth, and maintain operational efficiency.
* Adhere to health & safety, hygiene, and security policies.
* Be flexible to work evenings, weekends and possibly early morning shifts as required.
