Level 2 Senior Technical Support Engineer
to support an existing SME customer base and play a key role in day-to-day technical delivery.
This role will suit someone already living in South Dublin or nearby South County Dublin who is looking for a stable, hands-on MSP role with responsibility and variety.
You will have a strong career path to Level 3 and you will get plenty of project work. As this is a smaller MSP Microsoft Partner you will get fantastic variety in your work, so a flexible attitude is required.
The Role
This is a pure Level 2 Technical Support position within a micro-MSP environment. You will be responsible for handling technical issues end-to-end, supporting customers to a high standard, and assisting with project work when required.
You will be trusted to work independently, manage your own workload, and resolve issues with minimal escalation. This is not a junior role and not a call-centre environment.
Previous MSP experience as a Level 2 Engineer is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 2 technical support to SME clients, mainly remote with occasional on-site visits
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across:
* Windows desktop and server environments
* Active Directory (on-prem and hybrid)
* Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
* Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
* Azure AD / Entra ID
* Azure Virtual Desktop and core Azure services
* Networking fundamentals, firewalls, and connectivity
* Own tickets from start to resolution and communicate clearly with customers throughout
* Carry out routine system checks, patching, updates, and preventative maintenance
* Support project work including migrations, upgrades, and new client onboarding
* Create and maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge base articles
* Work closely with the business owner to help improve technical standards and processes
Some infrequent customer site visits are required.
A full clean Irish driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Mileage is fully reimbursed.
Required Experience and Skills
* Strong, proven experience working as a Level 2 Senior Technical Support Engineer within an MSP
* Hands-on experience with:
* Windows desktop and server
* Active Directory
* Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
* Microsoft 365 administration
* Azure AD / Entra ID
* Networking fundamentals and firewalls
* Confident dealing directly with customers and non-technical users
* Comfortable working independently in a small MSP environment
* Well organised, reliable, and customer-focused
* Strong time management and prioritisation skills
Relevant certifications are beneficial, but real-world MSP experience is the priority.
Location and Eligibility (Important)
* This role is best suited to candidates already based in South County Dublin or surrounding areas
* Applicants must already be legally eligible to work in Ireland
* No Visa sponsorship and no relocation.
