Job Title: Electrical Facilities Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Facilities Technician to join our team in Dublin 1 on a Monday to Friday basis.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily maintenance of all electrical equipment on-site to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2. Report existing or potential problems with equipment to the Facilities Engineer for prompt resolution.
3. Collaborate with Mechanical/Multi Skilled Technicians to effectively manage and maintain multi-disciplinary equipment.
4. Respond to service calls logged with the facilities help desk, investigate issues, and seek swift solutions.
5. Ensure sub-contractors understand reported problems and conduct service visits or callout works as required.
6. Effectively manage daily helpdesk requests from receipt to completion and sign-off of tasks.
7. Work closely with other Operations functions to complete client requests efficiently.
8. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and record findings in local maintenance folders.
9. Carry out assigned tasks by the Facilities Engineer and perform site tasks to optimize plant operations.
10. Oversee sub-contractors to ensure best practices are followed and provide guidance when needed.
11. Offer energy reduction recommendations related to plant operations to enhance efficiency.
12. Foster flexibility and availability to work overtime as required.
13. Embody EHS principles to promote a zero-accident goal, enforcing a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe practices.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working in a professional, team-based office environment.
* Excellent communication skills with clients/customers and ability to provide superior customer service.
* Trade qualification in electrical systems is essential.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems is required.
Ideal Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience as a qualified electrician is preferred.
* Experience working in similar environments is highly valued.
* Knowledge of emergency lighting, periodic inspections, PAT testing, thermographic surveys, and lighting management systems is advantageous.
* Strong administrative and coordination skills are essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
