Overview
UKI Technology Consulting- Cyber Security Architect, Senior Manager/ Manager 1 role at EY. Location: Dublin. Available for Work Visa Sponsorship: NO. Contract Type: Full-Time – Permanent. This is a client-facing role on EY’s cyber security practice, a fast-growing area with opportunities for leadership and career progression.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a security architect to assist in security architecture design reviews through the lifecycle of complex projects across a wide range of technologies and platforms for our client’s digital solutions.
* Secure enterprise information by determining security requirements; planning, implementing, and testing security systems; preparing security standards, policies, and procedures; mentoring team members.
* Collaborate with an internationally connected team of specialists to help clients address complex cybersecurity needs and improve security posture and business resilience.
* Lead and conduct security architecture reviews, contribute to governance, and provide security posture advice to obtain formal security approval for go-live scenarios.
Knowledge and Skills for the Role
* Strong technical information security background with expertise in cloud security technologies, standards and best practices; strong networking and hybrid cloud/on-prem experience preferred.
* Excellent organization and communication skills; ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment; strong stakeholder management and client-facing abilities.
* Ability to take on responsibility for project security review reports and ensure follow-through to completion, liaising with security and project stakeholders.
* Experience in designing and implementing enterprise security and solution security architectures for large organizations using frameworks such as SABSA and TOGAF; implementation of cybersecurity controls using practices such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, OWASP, CIS, ISO 27001, COBIT.
* Experience with regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., NISD, GDPR, PCI-DSS) and audit/reporting processes.
* Knowledge of threat modelling methods (e.g., cyber kill chain, STRIDE) and vulnerability management; ability to stay updated on current threats and controls.
* Consultative, customer-facing demeanor with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly; strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience and Attributes for Success
* 7 years’ experience in cyber security technical roles advising on security controls design, implementation, and testing across various sectors.
* Experience with audits of compliance frameworks such as PCI, ISO, or HIPAA.
* Experience in a Big 4 or similar consultancy environment in the Irish market; track record delivering cyber security controls and projects in an enterprise environment.
* Desirable sector experience in Government, Transport, and Financial services; driven cybersecurity professional with a passion for information security and securing client infrastructures.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
Areas of Focus (Past Experience)
* Application, Mobile, IoT, Cloud, Infrastructure and Network Security controls.
* Programming/scripting (PowerShell, ASP, .NET, Python, Perl).
* Log analysis and configuration reviews of infrastructure components (servers, firewalls, WAFs, SIEM, VMware, etc.).
* Security Engineering or Architecture (SABSA an advantage); knowledge of CI/CD is beneficial.
* Vulnerability analysis, pen testing review, and scan results.
Qualifications
* Undergraduate or master’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; industry certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS, SABSA, TOGAF).
* Cloud security knowledge (Azure AZ900, AZ500 and AWS Security advantageous).
