About the ARC Hub for HealthTech
The Research Ireland ARC Hub for HealthTech is a collaborative initiative between the University of Galway, Atlantic Technological University (ATU), and the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. It aims to guide academic projects in MedTech and connected health technologies towards commercial success in Ireland, supporting innovation and healthcare solutions.
The Hub, hosted by the College of Medicine, Nursing & Health Sciences, focuses on translating research into real-world applications and supporting innovators in bringing healthcare technologies to market. Its vision aligns with the S3 strategy to foster regional growth in chronic disease management through a world-class hub for MedTech and Connected Health innovations.
Role and Responsibilities
The Executive Director will lead the operationalisation of the strategic plan, achieve KPIs, and secure a sustainable pipeline of research projects.
Contract Details
This post is a specific purpose contract ending upon project expiry, funded until 2029, co-funded by the Irish Government and the EU through the ERDF Northern & Western Regional Programme 2021-2027.

* Salary: €111,514 - €127,604, aligned with the Assistant Secretary payscale and current Government pay policy.
