Female Physical Education Assistant
This position plays a pivotal role in supporting certified PE teachers with the supervision and instruction of physical education classes for female students. The Female Physical Education Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to ensure a safe, engaging, and well-structured learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in implementing daily lesson plans, activities, and fitness programs under the guidance of experienced PE teachers.
* Supervise female students during physical education classes, providing close attention to their safety and well-being.
* Monitor and maintain order in female locker rooms, ensuring a respectful and private atmosphere for all users.
* Prepare, set up, and clean equipment and materials for various PE activities, promoting efficient use of resources.
* Support the reinforcement of physical fitness, sportsmanship, and health principles among students, encouraging active lifestyles and healthy habits.
* Offer additional support to students with special needs or requiring extra assistance, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
* Enforce school rules and safety guidelines during PE periods, ensuring a secure and disciplined setting.
* Accompany students to and from locker rooms or activity areas as needed, providing a sense of security and belonging.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with adolescents in educational or athletic settings is preferred.
* Ability to model and promote healthy lifestyles, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is essential for this role.
* Must be physically capable of lifting/moving equipment (up to 50 lbs) and participating in regular physical activity throughout the day.
* Respect for student confidentiality and adherence to school policies are mandatory.
