Job Description
MTS, a provider of laboratory services to the construction sector, is seeking a Construction Material Test Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in Carlow.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and test construction material samples in accordance with laboratory testing procedures and standards.
Conduct laboratory testing on materials, including concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and related construction materials.
Maintain accurate records and report test results.
Follow quality control procedures and health & safety requirements.
Ensure laboratory equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organized condition.
Assist with sample collection, storage, and preparation.
Support laboratory operations and technical staff as required.
Candidate Requirements
Previous laboratory or construction materials testing experience is beneficial but not essential.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Reliable, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to work.
Preferred Qualifications
Qualification or studies in Science, Engineering, Construction, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience in quality assurance or laboratory environments.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Ireland.
Good English communication skills required for reporting and health & safety purposes.
