OverviewExciting opportunity for an EHS Advisor to implement our strategy in this site-based role. Ensuring compliance with site, CJK and legal requirements, you will also provide advice on measures to minimise hazardous or unhealthy situations. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, experienced individual who takes a hands-on common-sense approach to health and safety.ResponsibilitiesSupporting the development of Health and Safety policies and programsAdvising and instructing on various safety-related topicsAssisting the operational team in preparing RAMS, reviewing RAMSEnforcing site and organisational safety rules as per company procedures and PoliciesImplementing the Good Catch SystemDeliver health and safety training programmes to operations teamsImplement the site audit plan and distribute actions where necessary, assist with close out of actionsRecord all incidents and complete thorough investigationsPrepare reports and provide statistical information to the QEHS ManagerLiaise with the Client, Main Contractor and Subcontractors on all safety matters on siteIssue weekly reports via our paperless online documentation management systemHost Leadership Safety WalksEnsure the operational management team are compliant with all CJK policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with all legal and site safety requirementsCarry out ergonomic assessments for office-based colleaguesDeliver safety briefings to CJK site management and technical personnelEnsure appropriate and sufficient supplies of PPE/FPE are maintainedAssist with vehicle plant and equipment inspection programmeComplete FPE testing and certification where applicableLiaise with the HSA and other regulatory bodiesMaintain the ISO45001 H&S Management SystemKnowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practicesThe ability to produce high quality high-level reportsFamiliarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statisticsEssentialThird level qualification in Health and Safety (Minimum Diploma)At least 3 years’ experience working as an EHS AdvisorExperience implementing training programmesAbility to generate high quality reportsGood knowledge of Safety management SystemsFluent in EnglishHighly Proficient in Microsoft Office packageAbility to communicate at all levelsDesirableConstruction sector experienceExperience in LMSExperience in electronic audit systems (E.g. iAuditor)Manual Handling instructor qualificationWorking at Height Instructor advantageousMembership of a recognised professional body (IOSH/IIRSM/CIEH)Personal Qualities, Aptitudes And SkillsAbility to communicate effectively with team membersFlexibility, able to adapt and comply with Company/Client requirementsAbility to work with and interact with other disciplinesAbility to work on own initiativeHas a desire to learn and develop within the roleTo apply please email a cover letter and CV to deborah.tighe@cjkeng.ie
