We're working with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in County Louth to appoint a Maintenance Fitter into their high-performing engineering team.
This is a key hire for a modern, fast-paced production site that continues to invest heavily in both people and plant.
Responsibilities
Deliver planned preventative maintenance across a range of production and packaging machinery
Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs in a timely manner
Support production teams to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency
Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Maintain clear and accurate maintenance records
Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in line with site H&S standards
Criteria
Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter within a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience working on automated or fast-moving production equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Positive, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Comfortable working within a structured shift pattern
Food or FMCG experience would be advantageous, but not essential
