We are seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostic repair, and safety inspections of our commercial fleet to ensure 100% compliance with Road Safety Authority (RSA) standards.CVRT Preparation: Perform full inspections and repairs to ensure all vehicles pass the annual Commercial Vehicle Roadworthiness Test on the first attempt.Diagnostics & Repairs: Use advanced diagnostic software to troubleshoot engine, electrical, and pneumatic systems on modern HGV makes.Maintenance: Execute routine preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and scheduled servicing.Breakdown Support: Participate in an on-call rotation for roadside assistance and emergency repairs.Compliance: Maintain detailed digital and physical records of all work performed, ensuring adherence to the company's Integrated Management System (IMS).Requirements & QualificationsCertification: QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificatein Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (or National Craft Certificate) is essential.Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a commercial vehicle environment.Licensing:Full Irish Category B driving licence is required.Category C or C+E (HGV Class 1 or 2) licence is highly advantageous for road testing.Technical Skills: Experience with multi-brand diagnostics (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, Scania, DAF) and interest in hybrid/electric vehicle systemsJob Type: Full-timePay: €29,960.72-€57,725.33 per yearWork Location: In person
