Project Officer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Officer to lead various initiatives in Lismore, Co. Waterford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess habitats and participate in the quality control of habitat assessments submitted by farm advisors.
* Develop comprehensive farm plans that meet strict guidelines.
* Conduct regular monitoring of key species/habitats and chemical physical parameters as required.
* Identify and mitigate risks to biodiversity, archaeological heritage, and water quality.
* Evaluate fire, flooding, and nest predation risks at a local level.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to select and design effective landscape actions.
* Participate in commonage assessments throughout the country.
* Support the Remote Sensing officer with drone surveys and analysis.
* Foster engagement with local communities, NGOs, and other local stakeholders.
* Provide expert support to staff, DAFM, NPWS, and other relevant parties.
* Evaluate proposed non-productive investments and landscape actions for their feasibility.
* Design and deliver training programs for farmers, advisors, and other stakeholders.
