As a key member of the Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, you will play a vital role in ensuring equipment availability and quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Conducting proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on a wide range of site equipment.
* Carrying out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse.
* Utilizing advanced tools to maximize equipment effectiveness.
* Maintaining compliance with all health and safety policies and practices.
* Supporting the development and progression of on-site apprentices.

A day in the life of an RME Technician is fast-paced and varied. You will work alongside senior colleagues to undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing, and collaborate with contractors if necessary. You will also identify opportunities for long-term improvements and respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible.
The RME team consists of excellent team players who are guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. Our team handles most aspects of technical operations, from installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general maintenance and repairing critical distribution equipment.
We often work during non-standard hours to minimize disruption, including night shifts. If we spot a more efficient way to complete a task, we have the skills and opportunity to develop and introduce new processes or cutting-edge technologies.
Key qualifications include:
* National Framework Qualification 6 (NFQ6) or equivalent engineering qualification.
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
* Expertise in fault finding within material handling equipment/automation systems.
* Ability to interpret both mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Experience in conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
