Job Title:
">Technical Training Specialist & Technical Support
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of manufacturer-approved technical training to our network of workshop technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
">
* Deliver certified and non-certified technical training for truck and van technicians in line with manufacturer requirements and guidelines.
* Facilitate both classroom and hands-on workshop-based learning covering diagnostics, repair procedures, and new model technologies.
* Update and maintain training materials to reflect the latest product developments and service innovations.
* Evaluate technician performance during training and provide constructive feedback.
* Work closely with the dealer network to identify training needs and address skill gaps within the network.
* Support the maintenance of network and staff databases, continuously monitoring standards.
* Evaluate the training effectiveness, providing recommendations for improvements.
* Provide management reports on training results to assist with correct planning.
* Providing technical support to the dealer network and resolving technical issues.
* Providing excellent levels of customer support.
* Travel to various international Train the Trainer events and forums. Travel to dealer location to deliver onsite training when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
">
* Significant experience as a qualified vehicle technician, ideally with Truck & Van experience.
* Possess a strong technical background, with a proven track record in commercial vehicle after-sales.
* Strong understanding of modern commercial vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
* Manufacturer training certification or experience with OEM training programs.
* Previous experience in the training and development space.
* Solid working knowledge of training theories and methods.
* Experience in delivery of training across multiple formats: Instructor Led, Face to Face, Virtual & Digital.
* Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to demonstrate a solid blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills to deliver engaging and effective learner experiences.
* Self-motivated and self-confident, with the ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to guide and adapt to different styles and groups.
* Strong listening and creative problem-solving skills.
* Data literate with good IT and analytical skills, and a high level of attention to detail.
* Adaptable and flexible to changing technologies, processes, and environments.
* Technology integration, familiar and comfortable with the integration and use of social and digital media for training purposes.
* The ability to influence and gain the respect of our dealer network partners.
* A persuasive style with a positive determination to achieve results and meet deadlines.
* Good project management skills, ability to plan, process and deliver results.
