Canteen Supervisor Role at Dromoland Castle Hotel
We are seeking a proactive leader to oversee the canteen operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high levels of cleanliness in the canteen, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
* Induct and train staff to ensure consistency in best practices and safe working methods.
* Liaise with the chef to coordinate daily operations, including roster management, leave scheduling, and inventory control.
* Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations, implementing necessary measures to prevent contamination and maintain a clean environment.
* Support food preparation and presentation, guaranteeing high standards during meal times.
* Monitor and restock food, drinks, and supplies as needed, adhering to inventory management principles.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory position within a canteen or kitchen environment.
* In-depth knowledge of food hygiene and cleaning procedures, as well as HACCP protocols and health & safety regulations.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and attention to detail, coupled with a reliable and positive attitude towards work.
* Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours functions and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
