Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Order placement / purchasing from suppliers
* Help manage the product supply effectively in the short, medium and long term through effective
* buying and supply chain management
* Monitor stock levels against sales projections
* Manage shipping schedules to ensure continuity of supply
* Ensure stock counts are performed and reconciled
* Maintain strong working relationships with strategic and long term suppliers to assure quality,
* value and that delivery targets are met.
* To assist our sales team with up-to-date, real time product supply chain information
The successful candidates will have:
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience as part of a successful procurement team
* The ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic sales environment
* The motivation to work on their own initiative
* A working knowledge of Excel, Word and Stock Control packages
* Education - Minimum Leaving Certificate, Third Level an advantage
As well as being part of our sales/procurement/buying team the successful candidate will always have one eye on all of our customers' needs and will be expected to perform other essential office duties. At least two years previous procurement/buying experience is essential. The successful candidate will be expected to work a forty hour week 9am to 6 pm Mon-Fri with a salary commensurate with experience and ability.
