Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
* As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the management of project costs, procurement processes, measurement activities, and commercial reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Cost Control: Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and take-offs for ongoing and upcoming projects.
2. Procurement Support: Obtain quotations, prepare tender comparisons, and assist in awarding subcontract packages.
3. Commercial Reporting: Track and report project costs, variations, and progress to ensure accurate and timely commercial information is provided to senior QS staff.
Additional responsibilities include supporting monthly valuations, payment applications, and subcontractor payment reviews. You will maintain and organize project documentation, including drawings, financial records, change logs, and correspondence.
A key aspect of this role is conducting site visits to measure works, assess progress, and gather information needed for commercial reporting. You will also contribute to cost forecasting, budgeting, and risk analysis alongside senior surveyors.
