DescriptionThe Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) is a national nonprofit public charity dedicated exclusively to finding permanent homes for the more than 140,000 children waiting in North America’s foster care systems. Created by Wendy’s® founder Dave Thomas who was adopted, the Foundation implements evidence-based, results-driven national service programs, foster care adoption awareness campaigns and innovative grantmaking.STATEMENT OF PURPOSEWith support from the development analytics team, the development systems senior associate is responsible for supporting the administration optimization and strategic development of the Foundation’s customer relationship management (CRM) system and analytics ecosystem to inform strategic decision making and fundraising growth. This role serves as the technical and operational lead for the Foundation’s CRM, ensuring scalable system architectures, secure data practices and reliable data flows while enabling actionable insights through analytics and dashboards. The development systems senior associate collaborates cross-functionally to translate fundraising, marketing and program requirements into structured data models, automated workflows and reporting solutions that support decision making and operational excellence.ACCOUNTABILITIES1. Build and maintain the Foundation’s CRM infrastructure to support reliable, scalable donor and fundraising operationsSupport the configuration and ongoing administration of the CRM, including custom objects, properties, pipelines, workflows, automations and user permissionsBuild and maintain backend data structures and system architecture to support evolving organizational needs and decision makingDevelop and optimize workflows, automations and integrations to improve efficiency and data flow across systems2. Manage CRM system operations and data integrity to ensure stability, reliability and effective daily functionalityEnforce data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, security and integrity of data across systemsOversee ongoing CRM administration including user access, system configuration updates and data flow across systemsTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to CRM configuration, automations, integrations and connected systems3. Build and maintain reporting tools, dashboard and KPI models to enable data-informed decision making Develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards, data models, reporting tools and KPIs to provide insights for development effortsSupport teams in defining reporting needs, metrics and KPIs across the development operations departmentDrive system adoption and process improvement initiatives4. Provide system support and training to ensure consistent use of CRM toolsProvide training and day-to-day support to non-technical users on CRM functionality, automations analytics and reporting toolsDevelop documentation and guidance to support consistent system use and data entry standards5.
