(Candidate can be based from any of our sites)Pattern: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.Senior Lending Officer - Job DescriptionRole Overview:As a member of the Lending Team, the Senior Lending Officer position will form part of a highly motivated, multi-skilled team responsible for providing a first-class service to members on all types of loan requests received in any office, in person, by phone, or online, while also assisting with managing the day-to-day workload of the team.Choice of Location: Edenderry, Coill Dubh, Clane or LeixlipQualifications:· A relevant professional/financial services qualification, satisfying Minimum Competency Requirements, i.e., QFA· A minimum of three years of Loan assessing/underwriting experience in a Credit Union, Bank and /or other Financial Institution.Key Duties and Responsibilities:· Undertake a detailed analysis and assessment on all types of Personal loan applications, make informed decisions, recommending approvals and/or declining applications as appropriate.· Responsible for meeting specific income targets allocated to the Lending Team in support of the Business Strategy of the Credit Union· Conduct loan interviews and obtain the necessary financial information to support the loan application.· Operate within the agreed authorised lending discretion framework to ensure compliance with all relevant Policies, Procedures, and regulatory requirements.· Work closely with other Lending Officers to meet tight deadlines, ensuring timely turnaround of assessments, including demonstrating strong productivity in line with Service Level Agreements.· Contribute, participate, and engage with the Credit Union's strategy and change programme.· Promotion of other Credit Union products and services with a focus on digital offerings.· Undertake other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by Management.· Proactively assist with managing Lending Officer's workload, targets, quality of work and performance.The successful candidate should have:· Demonstrable People Management experience.A relevant professional/financial services qualification, satisfying Minimum Competency Requirements, i.e., QFA.A minimum of three years underwriting experience in a Credit Union, Bank and /or other Financial Institution.
