Key Responsibilities
* Act as the go-to HSE advisor across the company, supporting management, site teams, subcontractors, and external partners.
* Build strong relationships across departments to embed a culture of health, safety, and continuous improvement.
* Develop, implement, and monitor safe systems of work, including RAMS and risk assessments.
* Carry out regular inspections of sites, workshops, and equipment, ensuring compliance and maintaining records.
* Lead incident and accident investigations, identifying root causes and developing corrective action plans.
* Support departmental collaboration by understanding adjacent roles and their impact on your function.
* Attend internal and external meetings to represent the HSE function as needed.
* Maintain professional and legal compliance with all HSE regulations and the company's management systems.
* Deliver engaging toolbox talks, briefings, and safety inductions to staff and site workers.
Requirements
* Nebosh Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent).
* At least 5 years' experience in a health & safety role, ideally within construction, engineering, or M&E environments.
* Strong working knowledge of incident management, inspections, audits, and lifting operations.
* Ability to apply practical safety solutions across varied working environments and teams.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead safety initiatives from the front.
