Our client is a leading provider of high-performance, custom-designed packaging solutions for the medical and healthcare industry. They specialize in manufacturing sterile, protective packaging for medical devices and pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with strict industry regulations. They are now seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives within their manufacturing facility. This role will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) while supporting operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Act as an EHS leader, promoting a strong safety culture and supporting incident prevention initiatives.
* Provide quality leadership and expertise, driving problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
* Ensure the organization is audit-ready for internal and external inspections, including regulatory audits.
* Manage manufacturing quality processes, including defect resolution and final product release.
* Respond to and resolve customer quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team, ensuring ongoing training and competency development.
* Establish and implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration to improve product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes.
* Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a Quality Management System (QMS) within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience in customer quality management, including handling quality concerns and driving resolution.
* Experience in training and developing teams within a manufacturing setting.
* Strong understanding of FDA and EU GMP regulations.
* Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
* Experience working in a schedule-driven production environment.
* Familiarity with SAP S4/HANA is desirable.
* Strong project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
