Braehead Ice Centre further supports our growing and diverse operations.The RoleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to join the organisation on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, starting in April 2026.This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the Glasgow Clan, Braehead Arena and Braehead Ice Centre family. Everyone involved in the organisation is expected to be highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and take pride in being part of an elite sports and events organisation.You will work closely with on-ice and off-ice teams, developing positive working relationships across the business, supporting the financial performance of multiple departments, and leading the Accounts Assistant to ensure accurate and timely financial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and detailed variance analysisPreparation and posting of journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments and payroll postingsBusiness partnering with key departments including Merchandise, Food & Beverage and EventsResponsibility for budgeting and forecasting cyclesAssisting the CFO and Treasurer with cashflow managementEnsuring strict financial controls and compliance are maintained across the businessPreparation and submission of VAT returnsAssisting with monthly payroll processing (UK payroll experience desirable)Supporting internal and external audit processesContributing to ongoing finance process improvements and system enhancementsLeading, mentoring, and delegating tasks to the Accounts Assistant to ensure smooth day-to-day finance operationsAbout YouQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)Strong management accounting experienceExcellent attention to detail with strong analytical skillsConfident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsProven ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to junior staffProactive, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentPrevious UK Payroll experience desirableExperience in events, hospitality, sport or multi-site operations would be advantageousJob Types: Part-time, Fixed termContract length: 12 monthsPay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per yearExpected hours: 28 per weekBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsCompany pensionEmployee assistance programSick payWork from homeWork Location: Hybrid remote in DUBLIN 2, County Dublin
