As a Senior Planner, youll play a key role in shaping the delivery of complex, high-profile developments leading projects from inception through to planning approval, and mentoring junior colleagues along the way.
Youll work across large-scale renewable energy, infrastructure, commercial and residential projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and management of planning applications for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
Oversee project delivery from early feasibility through to submission, ensuring all documentation meets the highest technical standards.
Engage proactively with local authorities, statutory bodies, and stakeholders to progress projects effectively.
Review and provide quality assurance on planning assessments and reports prepared by junior team members.
Support and mentor junior planners, contributing to a collaborative and technically strong planning team.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and ensure delivery within deadlines and budget parameters.
Skills & Experience Degree in Town Planning or related discipline, ideally with IPI or RTPI accreditation (or working toward it).
6+ years post-graduate experience in a planning or environmental consultancy environment.
Strong understanding of the Irish planning system, including national and EU planning and environmental legislation.
Proven experience managing renewable energy, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise confidently with clients and public authorities.
