Job Overview
We are seeking an Automation Equipment Engineer to provide expert support for our manufacturing equipment, with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Documentation: Develop detailed specifications, designs, and testing documentation for new equipment and automated systems.
* System Knowledge: Apply expertise in various automation systems, including PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, vision systems, robotics, PC software, and databases.
* Troubleshooting: Analyze, understand, and fault-find complex automated equipment.
* Code Management: Develop, test, and install code changes to existing equipment under strict change control procedures.
* Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and meet quality standards.
* Optimization: Identify and implement equipment and system upgrades as part of continuous improvement programs.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with EHS standards and quality system requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* An Honours Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Software, or a related Engineering discipline.
* At least 5+ years of relevant experience in automation systems and automated production equipment within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, leadership and influencing skills, and the ability to work well within a team.
