We are looking for an Area Manager to look after three locations.Reports to:Director / OwnerLocation:Multi-site - two sites in Dublin 15 & one site in Dublin 20. A monthly schedule of work will be issued by director in advance each month.Role Type:Senior Management / Full-TimePosition SummaryThe Area Manager is responsible for the operational success, regulatory compliance, and high-quality educational standards across all childcare centres within the company.This role focuses on bridging the gap between high-level company strategy and daily centre operations through hands-on mentorship, rigorous auditing, and data-driven oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesManagerial Coaching:Provide regular, on-site mentorship to centre managers to develop their leadership skills.Conflict Resolution:Act as a secondary point of contact for complex issues that require escalation.Team Culture:Foster a collaborative environment where staff feel supported rather than monitored, encouraging the sharing of best practices across the group. Be a mentor directly to staff who need coaching in different areas such as behaviour management or interactions this will involve hands on modeling in the classrooms.Regulatory & Compliance OversightMock Tusla Inspections:Conduct unannounced, comprehensive mock Tusla inspections using the Quality and Regulatory Framework (QRF). Provide immediate verbal feedback to the site manager and a formal written report within 48 hours to the director.NCS Compliance:Oversee all National Childcare Scheme (NCS) to ensure 100% accuracy and prevent funding clawbacks.Policy Management:Ensure all company policies are enforced and adhered to in all centres.Data Management & Excel ReportingPerformance Tracking:Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets to track compliance scores and other stats across the business.Financial Oversight:Conduct spot checks of NCS data against actual attendance to ensure financial integrity. Have a good oversight of budgets in the different branches and ensuring they are adhered to.Requirements & QualificationsEducation:Minimum BA Level 7 or 8 in Early Childhood Care and Education.Experience:3+ years in a multi-site management role or as a Centre Manager with a history of successful Tusla inspections.Technical SkillsIntermediate Excel:Must be able to use formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP), create tables, and manage large datasets.Child Paths:Proficiency in the Child Paths platform for parent communication and policy distribution.HivePortal:Expert knowledge of the NCS administration portal HIVE in all aspects.Compliance Knowledge:Excellent understanding of the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.
