ICT Services are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer, working on one of our customer sites in Sligo. This is a full-time position working onsite with our customer.

Role:
ICT Services are currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to work on one of our customer sites in Longford. This is a permanent full-time onsite position.
Responsibilities:
* Provide remote and desk-side support to end users.
* Ensure prompt and appropriate IT support for issues.
* Troubleshoot PC-related problems via phone, remote tools, or desk-side support.
* Build, configure, and troubleshoot PC and laptop hardware and applications.
* Experience with hardware troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, routers, switches, printers, etc.).
* Deploy and install workstation hardware and software as needed.
* Basic network knowledge (LAN, WAN, switches).
* Basic connectivity knowledge (firewalls, remote access, VPN).
* Coordinate workstation asset recovery.
* Maintain workstation hardware, upgrades, and new hires.
* Complete incidents and requests within SLA in a pressurized environment.
* Log calls in the Service Desk system, ensuring proper incident management.
* Update tickets daily.
* Support meeting room environments and video conferencing.
* Support peripherals like printers and scanners.
* Support mobile devices such as iPads and iPhones.
* Perform data backup and restoration as needed.
Requirements:
* A 3rd level IT or related qualification.
* Microsoft Certified Professional certification is advantageous.
* Relevant experience and other certifications like ITIL are beneficial.
* Experience with hardware including servers, routers, firewalls, PCs, laptops, and printers.
* Experience with server software such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, SQL, and Office 365.
* Experience with Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and Windows 10.
