Brightwater Executive is delighted to be retained exclusively by our client, a leading national not‑for‑profit organisation, to appoint an Interim Director of Finance, Administration & IT.

Our client is a well‑established, mission‑driven organisation delivering vital services across Ireland. With a significant budget, multiple programmes and a large team, it plays an important role in supporting vulnerable communities. This interim role offers the chance to contribute to a values‑led organisation during a key period of strategic delivery.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Interim Director will ensure strong financial stewardship, effective governance and robust support services. As part of the Executive Team, they will oversee finance, IT and administration functions, safeguarding compliance, risk management and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
* Manage and develop finance, IT and administration teams.
* Oversee risk, compliance, statutory audits and governance processes.
* Fulfil Company Secretary responsibilities across the group.
* Ensure secure, scalable IT systems and effective vendor management.
* Manage procurement, insurance, office administration and data protection.
* Support Board sub‑committees and engage key external stakeholders.
Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 10+ years senior experience.
* Proven leadership in a large, complex organisation.
* Strong governance, compliance and risk management expertise.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
* Alignment with the mission and ethos of the not‑for‑profit sector.
