BYD launched in Ireland in April 2023 and now BYD Ireland are bringing the latest and industry leading Energy products to Ireland.

Reporting to the Director of Energy, the successful individual will develop and lead operational excellence and best business practice, optimising our service and value offering to customers.

You will bring innovation, leadership, focus and a growth mindset and ensure a high-performance culture.

This is a visible role requiring strong leadership in addition to entrepreneurial spirit.

Client interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.

The role requires experience in delivering residential, commercial, or large infrastructure projects in the Energy space.

Key duties & Responsibilities.

Drive the brand to be number 1 in Ireland for all Energy products Provide advice on energy investment opportunities and recommend best use of financial resources Build on the already established network of suppliers and customers Manage project budgets, schedules, risks and contractor performance across multiple projects Train all team members and support the onboarding and certification of contractors Be the key contact for technical and design queries Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes Develop and implement process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency Establish and manage the maintenance team for providing after-sales service Review current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement Collaboration with senior management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans Onboard and manage team members as the Department continues to grow.

Strategic & Commercial Provide expert advice on energy investment opportunities, ensuring optimal use of financial resources and strong returns.

Collaborate with senior management on performance goals, operational strategy, and long-term growth planning.

Support the development of scalable operational and service models as the department expands.

Operational & Project Delivery Oversee the delivery of multiple energy projects, managing budgets, schedules, risks, and contractor performance.

Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes.

Review existing operational performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer outcomes.

Act as the key technical and design contact for internal teams, suppliers, contractors, and customers.

Team & Department Leadership Build, onboard, and manage a growing Energy Department, including direct employees and contractors.

Train and mentor team members, supporting professional development and performance management.

Establish structured onboarding and certification processes for contractors.

Develop and manage a dedicated maintenance and after-sales service team.

Stakeholder & Network Management Build on and strengthen an established network of suppliers, customers, and delivery partners.

Ensure strong collaboration across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Experience Essential Significant senior-level experience within the energy sector, ideally within the Irish market.

Strong understanding of energy systems, project delivery, and regulatory requirements in Ireland.

Proven experience managing multi-project portfolios, contractors, and operational budgets.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop processes, and scale operations.

Strong commercial acumen with experience advising on investment decisions.

Highly organised, process-driven, and detail-oriented.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders.
