The Role:
We are seeking to recruit a part-time experienced Receptionist for evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays at our busy main reception desk. Some flexibility in shifts can be accommodated in advance of rostering.
Our reception staff play an important role within our organisation. In this position, you will be expected to carry out your duties diligently and professionally, with a friendly and efficient outgoing attitude.
It is important that you work well with all team members to ensure smooth operation and high standards of professionalism, providing excellent customer service for residents' visitors, customers, and employees.
Requirements:
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A professional, friendly, and positive attitude with discretion and confidentiality
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
* Good phone etiquette, accurate message taking, and prompt relay of messages
* Strong organisational skills, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
* A proactive approach and ability to work independently
* Excellent grooming and dress standards
* Previous experience in reception/customer service or administrative role is desirable but not essential
* Reliability
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide front desk support to residents, customers, and visitors
* Greet visitors courteously and professionally, assisting them appropriately
* Handle administrative tasks efficiently during and between phone calls
* Maintain a well-organised reception and waiting area
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
* Answer and direct phone calls, handle general inquiries
* Manage appointments and maintain the reception diary
* Perform scanning, filing, photocopying, and other administrative duties
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail
* Handle payments
* Provide administrative support to the wider team
Hours:
* 2-4 shifts per week, totaling 10-20 hours across Monday to Sunday
* Availability for evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
* Shift hours: Monday - Friday 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday earliest start at 10 am, latest finish at 8:30 pm
* Pay rate depends on experience
