We are currently seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to work with us on a project in Ireland.
Responsibilities
Lead benchmarking and promote best practices in project controls and document management
Establish and manage performance measurement baselines using contract coding structures to support effective reporting
Oversee monthly project reviews and support financial reporting processes
Manage change requests and change control, assessing impacts on schedule and cost
Develop and implement PMO frameworks and project controls strategies for assigned projects or programs
Guide project teams on project controls processes, including cost, schedule, change, risk, and reporting
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and ensure consistent risk management
Provide oversight of large projects, driving standardization and continuous improvement
Prepare regular status reports on progress, budget, and risks, and develop mitigation strategies
Assist in resource allocation and ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards
Support governance and assurance processes for planning, cost, and risk
Ensure effective stakeholder communication and manage expectations
Establish and maintain standardized project management processes and methodologies
Utilize PMO management software and reporting tools
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years' experience in project control activities and 2 years as Project Controls Manager
At least Bachelor degree (Honours Bachelor Degree) (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g. Project Management, Business Administration or similar
Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP)
APM or PMI membership
Proven experience with large-scale metro rail projects or similarly complex projects
Profound knowledge of project controls toolsets and principles
Knowledge of quality management and process improvement systems is desirable, ideally within the construction industry
Understanding of contractual and financial requirements in complex construction programs
Skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship management at all levels
Proficient with document management systems, databases, and project control software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced risk identification, assessment, and mitigation abilities
Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
Problem-solving skills to address project issues and keep progress on track
Experience with quality assurance to ensure standards are met
Adaptability to evolving project requirements and environments
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
Results-driven with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes
